Old Navy Style Council: Dresses

Old Navy Style Council: Dresses

As a Member of Crowdtap I am so excited to be able to answer questions about what I think of upcoming styles.

Since I love shopping at Old Navy for the hottest new trends, I was selected to participate in Old Navy’s dresses sample share!  I also choose one of my friends to come with me to Old Navy to pick out our favorite dress.

Old Navy’s selection of dresses this season is more stylish that ever! There are so many styles to choose from.

First, I took a look at the dresses at Old Navy's website to see what dresses I thought might fit my style.  It was until I went to an Old Navy store with my friend and tried on some outfits and check out the styles that I realized picking out just one dress was an impossible task.

Every girl needs a black dress she can wear any where.  This is DJ walking the cat walk as she picks out Old Navy accessories to go with her classic black dress.  She choose a sparkly scarf and black boots to add to her black dress.

DJ picked out this simple Old Navy green dress, but she added the red blazer, green necklace and red hat to give it a more dressy day look.  This Old Navy green dress, and red blazer will be sure to get her noticed at work on casual Friday (red is the color of power).
I really like the feel of the Old Navy sweater dresses. They are so comfortable, and you can add any accessory to dress them up or down.

With these great Old Navy outfits we know why people are looking, because we look good!

I love this classy Old Navy dress I can wear it for a night out on the town with my hubby.

I may be a house wife, but in this dress I will not be cleaning anything but I would make a delicious meal for my friends and family.
This is my favorite look for DJ. I think she looks great in this Old Navy purple dress. I like how she added the black blazer, boots and necklaces. She could definitely wear this on any date.

Great minds think alike and we both picked out this Old Navy dress to try on. Each of us added our own splash of color to the dress with a scarf.

Check our our video as we share with you our favorite Old Navy dresses:

We had so much fun trying on different Old Navy dresses and pairing them with our favorite Old Navy accessories.  You don't have to wait, so get a few of your gal pal and head over to Old Navy for your own fashion show.

Now you have seen our favorite Old Navy Dress, go to your local Old Navy store,or check out Old Navy.com and find your perfect dress.

My Marzetti Simply Dressed Simply Delicious House Party

As any of my friends can tell you, I love hosting party.  Even more than hosting, I love getting and giving free products.  Who doesn't.  That is why when I heard House Party was looking for host for their Marzetti Simply Dressed Simply Delicious House Party, I could not help but apply.

"Marzetti brand makes dressings, dips and croutons.  Marzetti's Simply Dressed® salad dressings are all natural, made with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and canola oil, which provides omega-3. And since they’re all natural salad dressings, they don’t contain preservatives, trans fat, high fructose corn syrup, MSG and artificial flavors."

My Party begin with me inviting my friends over for a night of Make Your Own Salad with Marzetti Simply Dressed salad dressing and Sensational conversations.  Once I had the guess invited, I turned my attention to the recipes.

One of the recipes I made was Grilled Hearts of Romaine.  It is simple to make, healthy to eat and looks great on a plate.

Since the Party theme was Simple and healthy meals I kept the decor to a minimum.  I just laid out the coupons and bags out for guest to see.
Here is a look at all the food I had at my Marzetti Simply Dressed Simply Delicious House Party.  We had all kinds of salads, stuffed mushrooms, and Grilled Hearts of Romaine.  I also filled the table with all kinds of salad toppings.

This is me welcoming all my guest to my Marzetti Simply Dressed Simply Delicious House Party.
Here is Little Man with me and a friend.  We are all sampling the delicious Marzetti Simply Dressed salad dressing.  I liked them all it was to hard to choose a favorite.   We also had so much fun eating and sampling all the dressing that I did not take any photos of my friends sampling the dressings.  I was so into trying the delicious dressing and making my perfect salad, I forgot to take photo of all my guest.  It is kinds of funny how each of us liked different dressings.

Here is all of us posing for a final photo with our Marzetti insulated tote bags.  Each guest was able to take one home, along with coupons and recipe cards.

Disclosure:  I received free products for me and my guest courtesy of Marzetti brand through House Party.

Kikkoman Juicy Bird Project

Last night I try Brining for the first time.  What is Brining?  Brining is salting food, usually a process of letting meat sit in a salt mixture of spices and water for at least 24 hours.  I was asked by Smiley360 to brine a whole Chicken.  They even gave me a recipe to try where you add  Kikkoman Soy Sauce.  Brining with Kikkoma Soy Sauce can kick up your meat a notch.  " All-purpose Kikkoman Soy Sauce is naturally brewed from wheat, soybeans, water and salt. Like fine wine, Kikkoman Soy Sauce is aged for several months to develop its characteristic rich, yet mellow flavor, appetizing aroma and distinctive reddish-brown color."

After I brined the chicken I baked it in the oven for about an hour.  When it came I was suprised by the look of the chicken.  There was so crispiness to the chicken.  I guess the brining does that.  My chicken did come out juicy and moist.  I added the chicken to my caeser salad and it was so good.

Kikkoman Juicy Bird Project:

If you are looking for something new this Thanksgiving you can give Brining a try.

Thanks KikkomanKitchen 4 my free Soy Sauce! Like them on Facebook for offers and recipes.

Disclosure: I received a free sample of Kikkoman soy sauce courtesy of Smiley360 .

RL.Stine's The Haunting Hour party.

Have you hear about the new series on the HUB new series from R.L. Stine The Haunting hour. If you like scary kid shows with the unexpected, then this is the show for you.  I was chosen by Mommyparties to host an RL.Stine's The Haunting Hours party.

To get everyone in the mood for a scary movie, I made some scary treats.  We had bat and "boo" cookies, vampire crispy treats and a Grave Yard (dirt cake).  I put little spiders all over the table for an added effect.

We also made homemade pizza for the kids to sink their teeth into. I made one of the pizza look like a vampire.  I love homemade pizza and the kids gobbled it up.

Here is an up close look at my Graveyard dirt cake. It is not really a cake at all. It is easy to make and even more fun to eat.  I used crispy treats to make the hand and the grave marker then I frosted them with frosting.

Look at all the goodies the kids got to take home thanks to MommyParties and the Hub. I also made my own goody bags for the kids to put all their goodies into!  There were "Team Grampire" t-shirts, glow in the dark slap bands, "I break for Grampires" bumper sticker and Vampire teeth.

Games:

Games always make a party more fun.  We played two games at our party.  The first games we played is  "The Mummy Wrap Slap Race".  This game is where you wrap your team with toilet paper and run to get a wristband then run back to wrap the next team mate.  The first team to wrap all their team mates and each have a wristband wins.  Here is a video of us playing the game.

This is one of the boys wrapping up his dad like a Mummy after "The Mummy Wrap Slap Race"

The second game we played was Vampire Jell-O Race. I placed a gummy worm at the bottom of a cup filled with Jell-O (and let it set).  The guest had put their hand behind their backs and use Vampire fangs to get the worm out of the cup.  Here is a video of us playing the game.

Here are the boys at our RL.Stine's The Haunting Hours party enjoying some food before the movie starts.

It looks like R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour the series is really scary (or I asked the boys to show me their scared face). You be the judge.

Here are the boys scared silly while watching The Haunting Hour series "Grampire". It looks like it is really scary.  All the boys said it was a little scary, but not too scary for them to enjoy watching it.

Marebear also got into the "team Grampire" spirit.  She liked trying all the sweet treat with her friend.  The Haunting Hour series "Grampire" show was not to scary for them to watch either.

Little brothers don't like being left out so this is my Little Man wearing his "team Grampire" shirt.

We all had a great time at our party and cannot wait to see what new show is next on the HUB new series from R.L. Stine The Haunting hour.

Disclaimer: I was selected by Mommy parties through Mom Select and sponsored by the hub to host this party.  I did receive free products for hosting this party but all opinions are 100% my own.

Purex plus Oxi and Giveaway

The new Purex plus Oxi is  the most powerful Purex detergent available   Did you know it works against over 101 stains?  It is so powerful it can be used to pre-treat stains too.

Purex plus Oxi delivers even better on Purex’s promise to leave your clothes bright, white, and clean.   With my two youngest spilling; either on me or on themselves, it can be hard to find a laundry detergent that will get rid of all different stains. The new Purex Triple Action leverages the best parts of there current formula, combined with new additions, to deliver great cleaning plus improved brightening power.  My white clothes are whiter, my colored clothes are more vibrant, and I don't have stains left on my clothes.

I wanted  to put it to the test, so here is what I did:

As many of you know I am a avid baker, so my aprons look as if I got more on me then in the bowl. So I took one of my white aprons after a full day of baking and put new Purex plus Oxi to the test.  I wanted to see if it really could get out any stain. I was so tired from baking, I decided to wait one day before I washed the apron (I wanted the stain set in my apron).

This is my apron will all the stains all over it.
This is me pre-treating all the stain with Purex plus Oxi.  I put a little on each stain and rubbed it into the fabric.
This is my apron with all the places I had to pre-treat using Purex plus Oxi.
Wow!  This is my apron after one wash with pre-treat stains and as regular detergant Purex plus Oxi.  I cannot deny the results.

Purex plus Oxi delivers even better on Purex’s promise to leave your clothes bright, white, and clean.   With my two youngest spilling; either on me or on themselves, it can be hard to find a laundry detergent that will get rid of all different stains.
