Here is what I think:

Here is what I think...

I was sent two boxes of Fiber One Chewy bars to sample. First we tried the Chewy chocolate bar and they tasted Yummy.  It was like eating a chocolate bar without the guilt. Little Man finished off a bar all by himself, and asked for another bar.  This time I gave him the Fiber One Chewy Strawberry Peanut Butter and Jelly bars, it was a hit too and he ate the whole bar.  The Fiber One Chewy Strawberry Peanut Butter and Jelly bars really do taste like eating a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich (without the bread).  


All three of my kids enjoyed eating the Fiber One Chewy bars.  I put some of the bars in their book bag as a snack to have after school.  Not one of the bar made its way back home, they were all devoured on the way home from school.   

My Little Man is very active and he needs a snack to keep up with his active life style.  He also has a little bit of a sweet tooth, so he needs a snack to taste great too. Fiber One Chewy bars are the best of both world for my Little Man. 


Little Man loves to go outside and play soccer.  He is only 20 months, but he can kick the ball around like a pro.

Marebear and Woody Pet therapy

At the beginning of May our Little Mare Bear was in the hospital again with uncontrolled seizures.  She has a seizure that lasted a little over 30 minutes, and was rushed to Dell Children's Hospital of Central Texas. This is the 5th time this year she has been in the hospital due to seizures.  Each time we are in the hospital we ended up staying 3 to 6 day.  


Having a child in the hospital can be extremely overwhelming for families.  Since my parents have are no longer living,and my Hubby's parents live in Nevada, we have no family to turn to for help.  




When a child is in the hospital for an extended time period, they began to miss their home and if they have pets, they miss seeing and petting their pet too.

We have a big husky/ Alaskan Malamute mix dog.  She is beautiful, sweet tempered, and about 120lbs.  Her name is Shasta.  Shasta forgets how big she is and sometimes thinks she is a lap dog.  


While Mare Bear was in the hospital, she was able to participate in their Pet Therapy program. 

The Woody Pet Therapy Program at Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas has brought smiles and comfort to countless patients since it began in 1988. Pets must be registered as a Complex team by the Delta Society and a DCMCCT Volunteer.  there is also a training program Dell Children's hospital has set up before the pet and guardians can see patients. 

This dog is named "Z"  he is a Great Pyrenees.  He has a great temperament (you can see that from the photo).

He wasn't sure about coming up on the hospital bed, but when I assured him we have a big dog too and Mare Bear would love to have him sit close to her, he jumped up. 

In this photo Mare Bear is still a little foggy from the anti-seizure meds, but she was so happy to see and pet Z.

The Scent of Cherry Blossoms: Book review and giveaway.

The scent of Cherry Blossoms by Cindy Woodsmall is a novel.  The main character  Annie Martin is an young women coming of age in her Old Order Mennonite community.  Annie relationship with her mother is strained and she is sent to live with her grandfather, Moses for a while.  Moses is also Old Order Mennonite, but has gone into business with the Zooks, an Old Order Amish family, to operate the Zook diner.   Annie and  Aden Zook  used to work together in the diner when she would come and visit her grandfather.  It has been a long time since Annie has sees Aden but her attraction to him is a strong as ever.  Aden is a shy, artistic young man with a stutter, but Annie can see the words of his heart.  Aden’s brother was outgoing and the dominate twin, but a freak accident has left him paralyzed, confined to a wheelchair, and total dependent on Aden.

Aden is torn between his feeling towards Annie, and his devotion to God as an Old Order Amish.   Aden and Annie know there two worlds are not allowed cross(at least not romantically) and Moses would  close the restaurant if they ever acted on those feelings.  Annie and Aden must  soon decide if their feeling toward each other are worth the trouble and torment it would cause their family and communities.  

This is the second book of Woodsmall I have read (to see my review on When the Soul Mends, click here).  I really enjoy reading her books about romance in Amish Country.  I have a hard time putting them down and I stay up late reading them.  Not only do her books it give me a gimps of what it would be like to live the Plain life, but it reminds me of what is was like to fall in love with someone.

 The scent of Cherry Blossoms is a true classic romance novel.  It is written with dignity and grace.  It allows the reader to journey along with two young people as they decided what to do about their felling towards each other.  It reminds us, we do not get to choose whom we fall in love with, and that love is not always enough to keep two people together.

Old Navy Style Council: Summer Shorts

  As a Member of Crowdtap I am so excited to be able to answer questions about what I think of upcoming styles.  


Recently I was asked by Crowdtap to be part of the stylish and influential Old Navy Style council.  I could not help but say "YES!".  


Since I love shopping at Old Navy for the hottest summer trends, I was selected to participate in Old Navy’s SHORTS event! As a member of Old Navy Style Council I was able to redeem a coupon in-store for a free pair of shorts of my choice.  I was also allowed to choose one of my friends to come with me and get a pair of shorts as well! 


Old Navy’s selection of shorts is mega stylish this season! There are so many styles to choose from.  First, I took a look at the shorts at Old Navy's website to see what shorts I thought might fit my style. 


Then it was off to Old Navy with my friends Lola to try on some outfits and check out the styles.  

The photo above is me, on the left, with my friend Lola, on the right. We are wearing Old Navy's Women's printed 5" shorts.  The shorts come in many different styles.  I am wearing the khaki floral print while Lola is wearing the warm multitude.   Our matching tangerine tank tops are also available at Old Navy.

Here are another pair of cute shorts.  I am wearing the Women's Relaxed Chino Shorts.  These shorts are so comfortable and roomy.  I like the way my legs look in the Women's Relaxed Chino Shorts.  Lola is wearing the Women's Linen Drawstring shorts (5").  She like these shorts so much, she decided these short would be the ones she choose as her "free" pair.  

  Here is me accessorizing from head to toe with Old Navy.  I have on Old Navy's Women's printed 5" shorts in patchwork blue bottom.  The canvas bag, and sandals really bring the outfit together.    We are both wearing matching tangerine tank tops (not really a good look for us). Lola is wearing the Women's Relaxed Chino Shorts .

I am wearing the women's denim short "the flirt".  These denim short are the perfect fit and length for me.  Lola is wearing Old Navy's Women's printed Canvas 5" shorts.  I am also wearing a Women's floral gauze drawstring-hem tank.

Stanley Steemer make our carpet cleaner.

A few days ago  Stanley Steemer  came to my house to clean my carpets.  They were running a special and I was able to get three rooms cleaned for around $100.  I choose the living room and two of the kids bedrooms.

You can also add Protectant to help resist dirt, spills or every day traffic and you can add deodorizer to neutralizes orders and eliminate them at their source.

I was surprised when they told me they do more than just carpet cleaning.  They clean upholstery, hardwood and Tile and grout.  They even can clean you air ducks.

Want to see Stanley Steemer in action?  I guess my cleaning specialist were a little shy and did not want to appear on camera, however I was able to take before and after photos of my carpet.   

 This is a wide shot of my living room before Stanley Steemer cleaned the carpet.  If you look at the right side of the photo you can see all the stains.

Here is the carpet after Stanley Steemer cleaned the carpets.  You can really see the difference.  The carpet looks lighter and there are no stains.  I was so impressed with the outcome!

 This is Little Man's room.  To the right and up of Little Man is a stain from petroleum jelly (he got into it when I was not looking and smeared it on the carpet.  We have never be able to get the stain out).  Well Stanley Stemmer was able to get that stain out and the carpet looks brand new.
